Reports of falling objects in Wisconsin, Iowa, Missouri, and Illinois
– “From southeastern Wisconsin to as far as Des Moines, Iowa and St. Louis, people reported seeing balls of fire, possibly meteors, streaking across the sky Sunday night.”
Viewers Report Meteor Shower Sunday Night
–”…Dozens of people throughout the St. Louis region and Illinois reported small objects that looked like bright lights or something burning, with flaming tails behind some of them, said Ken Tretter, with the Missouri State Highway Patrol in St. Louis.”
Did you see it? Hundreds report fireballs in the sky.
–”Most reports described the objects as bright lights or something burning with a flaming tail behind some of them. Several of the objects were seen exploding when they hit the ground.”
Flaming Falling Objects Reported In 4 States
ST. LOUIS — “The military said a light show reported on Sunday night by people across four Midwest states was probably the result of a meteor…
…Most people described the objects as bright lights or something burning with a flaming tail. The Federal Aviation Administration said no aircraft have been reported missing in that part of the country.”
Probably?
No aircraft have been reported missing? Why did they feel it necessary to check? Like, um, do they have aircraft that are so large, that if they should explode, the fall out would be witnessed in 4 states!?!
Um, yeah, okay. I guess I’m having a blonde moment. I just don’t get the reasoning behind The Federal Aviation Administration’s statement.
So anyway, I was out and about around this time last night, but I didn’t see anything. Did you? What do you think it was? Aliens or meteor shower?

They lost a plane again? hehe
Well, nothing has fallen down from the sky around here, unless you count an occasional pheasant that forgot how that he can fly of course? :p

This event had nothing to do with a meteor shower. More likely, it was a large individual meteor or meteoroid that broke up as it entered the atmosphere.
If sonic booms were heard, there may have been meteorites produced close by. Jacksonville IL and the surrounding area seems to be a likely search area so far. Anyone with information, please email me at biscuit_40@yahoo.com
